Anthony R. Cardoza has over 20 years of experience as a trial attorney in California. Since graduating from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 1997, he has been primarily focused on criminal defense litigation and jury trial work. Mr. Cardoza has represented people all over the State of California in criminal courts. His primary litigation has occurred in Northern California counties such as Butte, Tehama, Glenn, Shasta, Sutter, Yuba, and Plumas, but he has litigated cases as far as San Diego, the Bay Area, and Sacramento. Mr. Cardoza has tried cases ranging from first-degree murder to misdemeanor driving under the influence.

Mr. Cardoza grew up in a small farming community in the Central Valley and was recruited by CSU, Chico to wrestle at the college level. Mr. Cardoza was the first person in his family to attend college. After graduating from Chico State he attended Hastings College of the Law and returned to the Chico area upon graduation. For the next ten years, Mr. Cardoza worked at the Law Offices of Dane A. Cameron as a trial litigation attorney before opening his own office in 2007. Mr. Cardoza also taught at CSU, Chico from 1998-2005, teaching subjects such as criminal law and criminal procedure. In 2018, Mr. Cardoza joined the Peters Firm as a partner. In addition to continuing his criminal defense trial work, he also focuses on civil litigation matters with an emphasis on personal injury and trials.

Mr. Cardoza is an active member of his community. He has been the Head Wrestling Coach at Durham High School since 2005, winning numerous NSCIF Div. III Team Section Championships, awarded by his peers Northern Section Coach of the Year 2011-12, and has qualified many athletes to the CIF State Championships. Mr. Cardoza is also currently Chair of the Northern Section CIF Wrestling Advisory Committee. Mr. Cardoza is a 20-year member of California Attorneys for Criminal Justice (CACJ).
